☺ Andreia Chaves And The Invisible Shoe

So I’m always goofing off about how I wear invisible shoes and what not, but the joke I usually giggle and cackle at, has actually come to life. Apparently it came to life last year and I’m just now finding out about it. Footwear designer and Sao Paolo native, Andreia Chaves, came up with the “invisible shoe” concept.

This gorgeous polyhedral wedge has mirrored faces on every edge and corner of it, creating the illusion of camouflage. Because it gives off the reflection of all that is near, it blends in beautifully with the surroundings. I give this an A+!!

◦◙ Ms. Peacock

When Melody told me she was going to the 50th birthday party of Sex And The City stylist, Danny Santiago, of course I was elated for her. I later found out it was a masquerade ball and she wanted me to make her a mask on her face. Inspired by an earlier shoot which I did with Alexander Castro (which can be seen here), I quickly said yes.

◦◙ Box Of Birds

I love giving origami lessons to my friends. Melody and I made these as her “good bye” presents for her former co-workers at Tres Koi. Nothing says “thank you” like birds and star jars.

◦◙ Lotus

Spiky and architecturally beautiful, I came to the conclusion that I’ll come up with a good amount of these origami lotuses and create some kind of gorgeous body armor starting at the very top of the shoulder, and working it’s way down the wrist. I’ll probably more than likely do this DIY in black.

◦◙ Two Day Ensemble [Part 2]

1. Woke up starving in Robert’s apartment.
2. Went to Nexxt Cafe on Lincoln Road (Amaziiiing!)
3. Hit South Beach to shop around.
4. Came home to get clean clothes, and went back to Alex’s house for a night of DIY’s.

Never have I ever worn the same outfit two days in a row without showering or brushing my teeth. I walked around Miami feeling like a prostitute (but a cute one), and sweaty like a hooker in church. I was just really grateful that the majority of my makeup stayed on from the night before, and my eyebrows didn’t rub off either. Man oh man. It was fun though.

♨ Two Day Ensemble [Part 1]

1. Got nostrils waxed in Fort Lauderdale.
2. Went to Aventura to shop.
3. Met Melody in the Design District at restaurant Sugarcane (Which by the way, has nothing appetizing on the menu. What a disappointment).
4. Alexander and I ditch Sugarcane to go eat Sushi on South Beach at Hiro’s Sushi Express (Absolutely diviiiine!)
5. Walk around Lincoln Road and meet up with Yuri and Robert.
6. Get drinks at some gay lounge (It was cute).
7. It starts raining cats and dogs while we’re outside, so we go next door and the boys get free tans at Boca Tanning Salon. (Why does it say Boca, if it’s in Miami)?
8. Gay bar hopped, drank, danced, and finally worked my way up a pole (It’s been a while).
9. Went to Robert’s and slept over.

◦◙ Alchemist

What’s better than an architecturally, beautifully designed glass  sanctuary built within the very top floor of a brand new parking garage,  that only sells Rick Owens and Rodarte? Absolutely nothing! It was my  first time being face to window at the gorgeous monumental designer  store known as Alchemist.

Divine. Divine, incredibly divine. Not only did I have to restrain  myself from drooling on the glass, but I pretty much nearly took a shit in  my pants when I saw all the superb clothes. My gosh!

◦◙ All Day Affair

Only one word could of described this day. Splendid. The day started  out with Melody and I watching the soccer game at a Brazilian restaurant  down on 79th. Goal! Spain! After that, there was some vintage browsing  and window shopping in the design district with Sean and Alex

McDonald’s was after that, followed by walking on Lincoln Road and  eating the most delicious gelato ever! More window shopping was done and  I also overcame an inner battle within myself at the Y-3 store. I almost bought these gorgeous open toe shoes. It was the last one in my  size and they were only $200. UGH! But I refrained from that and decided  to be good.

Miami really was ready for us, because later we met up with Fabiana at Kill Your Idol and socialized and that’s where we met the cute Clay. We finalized the night  by going to Purdy Lounge and then heading home. Ah, I sure do love when everything feels so perfect.
