What do you get when two of the most delicious faces in fashion collide? A masterpiece. That’s what. My two favorite beings of the moment, the lovely shemale Andrej Pejic, and the yummy walking corpse Zombie Boy (Rick Genest), have collaborated with Brazilian fashion line, Auslander.
The ad campaign shot by photographer Marcelo Krasilcic, turned out amazing and given his track record, I can see why.
By my lonesome.. I lay here, I wait, I yearn. I yearn for you to come find me and take me away from this reality. Sweep me off my feet and into the sunset.. Just like in the story books. Or is it too much to ask for? Is this fantasy just that? Or is it meant to be?
I long to be with you, but when and how? You’re far away, and I’m far away. This will never work, will it? I just want to be with you. I’m here. Weak, frail, naked, and longing for your touch to revive me. Come rescue me handsome prince. May we live happily ever after.
After an attempt to enjoy the Guggenheim, Katarina, Tina, and myself left after realizing that there were literally only two artists works on display. I like modern simplicity just as much as the next, but there’s only so many rocks on the floor that will hold my interest. Upon exiting the museum, which btw had an amazing layout and floor plan, we walked over to Mr. Softee, which conveniently was right next to the premises.
Of course Tina had to get the ice cream cone pretty much drowned in sprinkles, and simple Katarina got her chocolate cone. Still not getting used to carrying cash on me, I had none, so I didn’t get to indulge in the yummy feast. Central park was right across the street and because Katarina was visiting, we took her there. What’s better than a cool day and babes running with their shirts off? Nothing!

I totally forgot about these pictures. I remember when I was looking through the windows in the living room, (turned my bedroom), I saw what appeared to be.. snow? No way, not in New York in the Summer time. Let me rephrase that. Not in JULY! One of the hottest months I’ve endured here. Apparently the “snow” was actually those little fuzzies that have a baby seed attached to them.
I’ve always wondered what they turn into when planted. The monsoon of sky cotton fluff was indeed coming from the top of the building. The roof? It was like someone was dusting the top of the building or opened a giant bag of cotton. Nonetheless, it was such a majestic sight as I stepped out my windows and onto the stoop. I can’t wait for the real deal.
Ok ladies! This is the reason I played with Barbies when I was a little boy.. So I could dress her like this! Each and every doll reminiscent model is perfectly put together by Italian fashion house, Moschino. Delicately designed, yet structurally strong, this collection for the resort season is everything you and your mom want to be.
From the crispest whites, to the sharpest reds, each and every garment coming down that runway was like the modern day eye candy. Sandals, stripes, picnic plaid, and tulle… Need I say more?
Had clothes like these been out years ago, I think I would have settled on being a librarian for my career. Each and every piece of Acne’s resort 2011 collection embodies a different woman in life. Secretary? Check. Stewardess? Check. Mom at the grocery store? Check. It’s amazing how each detail is just so fitting to each of the girl’s wearing them. Everything has obviously been thought about, from the styling to the hair and makeup.
Many of the looks containing separates can be mixed and matched and worn with other pieces from the collection. Ance team A++ on this one! The subtle colors make for a light, fun, and festive season. Each garment is effortlessly made and displayed. But that’s what fashion is about. It’s about not trying too hard.
It was such a pleasure having one of our really great friends, Katarina, from back home come visit us in the city. As part of our week long adventure, we went to the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden. Here’s two things to remember:
1 | Never go to the zoo on Wednesday, because it’s free and everyone else happens to be there with all 23 of their kids #gag. 2 | Skip the zoo on Wednesday and walk down the road to the botanical garden instead. It’s way more peaceful, and there’s no screaming babies who instead of being carried around, belong behind bars with the rest of the animals.
